The Structural Engineer will be responsible<br \/>\nfor the design, development, and maintenance of structural control systems<br \/>\nand\/or components to set specifications, focusing on safety, cost, quality and<br \/>\nsustainability<\/p>\n","duties_responsibilities":"<ul>\n<li>Analysis\/design of proposed and existing structures in accordance with<br \/>\nengineering practice<\/li>\n<li>Ensure proper scoping of all structural engineering works and give adequate<br \/>\nreport<\/li>\n<li>Coordinate and monitor design works and other related processes by<br \/>\ndeveloping; work breakdown structure, a program of works.<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for site monitoring (Pre &amp; post-contract award)<\/li>\n<li>Ensure total adherence to structural engineering\/project management<br \/>\nprocesses and procedures<\/li>\n<li>Prepare and present reports as required<\/li>\n<li>Provide project leadership in various types of structural projects<\/li>\n<li>Responsible for value engineering and cost control<\/li>\n<li>Manage all aspects of the projects including design, analysis, and all aspects of<br \/>\nproject engineering work.<\/li>\n<li>Work with team members to effectively complete projects in line with the Scope,<br \/>\nTime, Cost, and Quality set.<\/li>\n<li>Draw up project plans and designs using computer-assisted engineering and<br \/>\ndesign software<\/li>\n<li>Estimate material, construction, and project timescales<\/li>\n<li>Make sure all projects meet structural and construction safety regulations<\/li>\n<li>Provide a varied range of structural design services to Afriland and its clients<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","required_skills":"<ul>\n<li>Excellent numerical, technical, and IT skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to analyze complex problems and proffer solutions<\/li>\n<li>Ability to explain design ideas clearly<\/li>\n<li>Strong decision-making skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent communication skills<\/li>\n<li>Ability to prioritize and plan effectively<\/li>\n<li>Good budgetary skills<\/li>\n<li>Excellent people skills<\/li>\n<li>Comprehensive understanding of structural, health, and safety regulations.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","education_experience":"<ul>\n<li>Bachelor\u2019s degree in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering; additional<br \/>\nqualification is an added advantage<\/li>\n<li>At least 6 years direct experience in Design &amp; Construction work<\/li>\n<li>Project management experience<\/li>\n<li>Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Suite Package &#8211; Excel, Word, PowerPoint,<br \/>\nMS Visio and MS Project<\/li>\n<li>Effective use of AutoCAD<\/li>\n<li>Practical experience in construction quality and safety<\/li>\n<li>Registered member of the Nigerian Society of Engineers.
